Museum Advisory Committee

Statement of Purpose

The Museum Advisory Committee is established to provide volunteer input and expertise for the Museums of Prince Edward County within the jurisdiction of the Corporation of the County of Prince Edward.

Duties and Responsibilities

The County of Prince Edward Museum Advisory Committee shall advise and make recommendations to Council through Committee of the Whole on matters dealing with:

  1. Providing input into the museums’ strategic plan.
  2. Providing feedback on museum policies.
  3. Formation of, and participation in sub-committees deemed necessary.
  4. Provide expertise to the Head Curator relating to museum priorities including, but not limited to, technology, marketing, visitor engagement/experience, and fundraising
  5. Supporting special projects furthering public awareness of and support of The County Museums

Meeting Dates

Last Wednesday of the month at 3:00 pm at Macaulay Heritage Park (church gallery).


The Committee shall be composed of five members, as follows:

  • One (1) of which is a Member of Council
  • Four (4) citizen appointees
  • One (1) representative from the Prince Edward Historical Society (optional)


For the term of Council or until reappointed.
