Community Centre Attendant (Temporary, Full-time)

Do you thrive working in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service? Do you enjoy assisting with events? Our Human Resources Department is looking to fill the temporary full-time position of Community Centre Attendant. Reporting to the Supervisor of Recreation and Community Facilities, the Community Centre Attendant ensures that the needs of our community are met by maintaining departmental assets including electrical, janitorial, structural, ice maintenance, grass cutting and park maintenance of the community centre properties, parks with playgrounds, ball diamonds, splash pad and courts. The Community Centre Attendant also provides support by completing facility booking set-ups, teardowns and monitoring of events. 

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Successful completion of Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent. Consideration may be given to a combination of education and related experience.
  • Basic Refrigeration certification is a considered an asset.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents and those using Recreation and Community Facilities.
  • Ability to complete day, evening and weekend shifts, and work at various locations.
  • Valid Class ‘G’ Ontario Driver’s Licence in good standing.
  • Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Screening Check.

The current rate of pay for this position is $24.47 per hour, plus 10% in lieu of benefits and 4% in lieu of vacation as per Band 5 of CUPE Local 2275’s Collective Agreement. Please submit your application prior to 4:00 pm on Friday, October 11, 2024 to careers@pecounty.on.ca.
