Revenue Services Clerk (Temporary, 13 months, part-time)

The Human Resources Department is currently accepting applications for the part-time, temporary position of Revenue Services Clerk.  Reporting directly to the Revenue Services Supervisor, this position is responsible for daily operations including but not limited to: taxation, utility and revenue collections, billings, customer service, account maintenance, performing balancing functions and report generation.  This position will work a total of five weekdays per two-week period. 

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Completed post-secondary education in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance required.
  • Municipal Tax Administration Certificate Program is considered an asset.
  • Two (2) years of related experience, preferably in a municipal environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills with the ability to exercise tact, diplomacy and good judgement at all times.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, financial software applications, accounting concepts including knowledge of Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) transactions and other related databases as required.
  • Proof of a satisfactory Criminal Background check.

The current rate of pay for this position is $27.81 per hour as per Band 8 of CUPE Local 2275’s Collective Agreement, plus 10% in lieu of benefits and 4% in lieu of vacation. Please submit your application prior to 4:00pm on April 25, 2025 to careers@pecounty.on.ca.
