Supervisor of Community Facilities

The Human Resources Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Supervisor of Community Facilities. Reporting to the Director of Recreation and Community Facilities, the Supervisor of Community Facilities is responsible for the overall maintenance and repair of municipally owned and operated buildings. The Supervisor will lead asset management and facilitation of an operational budget, and will continue to develop operational efficiencies. In addition, this position will work with staff to ensure legislative and safety compliance for all events and activities held on municipal properties.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Facilities Management or an equivalent combination of education and work experience, required.
  • Minimum three (3) to five (5) years of related work experience is required, with a minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience within a unionized environment, preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to exercise tact, diplomacy and good judgement at all times.
  • Sound knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Technical Safety Standards Association (TSSA) and any other associated legislation, regulations, acts or by-laws.
  • Thorough knowledge of building codes, technical standards and maintenance trades, with the ability to read and comprehend technical information.
  • Experience with event management, public health and AGCO food and beverage requirements is an asset.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Valid Class ‘G’ Ontario Driver’s License and satisfactory Driver’s Abstract.
  • Satisfactory Criminal Background Check.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evening and weekend work as required.

The current annual salary range for this position is $89,852 to $125,815 as per the Non-Union By-Law. Compensation also includes a competitive benefit package and membership in OMERS. Please submit your application prior to 4:00pm on May 31, 2024 to careers@pecounty.on.ca.
