Council directed staff to explore alternative boat launch options near Wellington for the 2022 season and beyond after it approved the closure of the Belleville Street launch in 2021 due to safety concerns and traffic congestion issues.
The boat ramp at 16057 Loyalist Parkway will allow boaters to launch of smaller watercraft; the gravel ramp will not be suitable for larger, heavier boats. The parking area will accommodate approximately 15 vehicles/trailers. Boaters can use their full season boat launch parking permit at the new location or pay for a single day use.
