Multi-Year Accessibility Plan

Council approved Prince Edward County’s multi-year accessibility plan. The plan is available to view on The County’s website. The 2022-2026 Accessibility Plan is a critical assessment of the barriers to accessibility and inclusiveness that exist within The County, and a strategic action plan to engage Council, staff and residents in removing these barriers.

Proclamations

The Mayor read a proclamation to mark February as Black History Month in The County.

Corporate Strategic Plan

Aidan Grove-White, Director, Strategy Corp provided an overview of the Corporate Strategic Plan Check-In Report. He noted the project process and deliverables, and highlighted each strategic priority in detail.

Deputations, Presentations and Reports

Received deputations related to the accessibility plan, and short-term accommodations. Received a committee report from the Environmental Advisory Committee and approved a variety of motions including appointing Chad Brown as the Fire Chief and Emergency Management Coordinator for Prince Edward County.

Next Council Meeting: February 2, 2022 for the operational budget.
