County COVID-19 Help Line seeks volunteers

The County COVID-19 Help Line is seeking volunteers to help with shopping and food deliveries for community members who are unable to or are not comfortable going into grocery stores or pharmacies.

Requests for assistance have increased during the provincewide shutdown. Anyone who can help should contact the County COVID-19 Help Line at 613.476.2148 extension 1200 or 1.833.676.2148 extension 1200. Volunteers can also email info@pecounty.on.ca. Volunteers will be asked for contact information, including the area of The County that they are able to serve.

The County COVID-19 Help Line is available Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Residents who need assistance can call 613.476.2148 extension 1200 or 1.833.676.2148 to speak to County staff who can connect them with:

  • Volunteer delivery of food and other essentials
  • Information on the County Food Depot’s food box program
  • Critical community services
  • Transportation options
  • Sources of accurate and reliable public health information about the COVID-19 virus
