County seeks members for committees and boards, including Affordable Housing, Destination Marketing Boards

April 19, 2022

The County is continuing to recruit dedicated community volunteers to serve on three municipal board/committees.

Becoming a member of a citizen board/committee offers residents a unique chance to volunteer their highly valued skills and knowledge to strengthen our shared sense of community.

The County is looking to fill the following vacancies:

  • Prince Edward County Affordable Housing Corporation Board – 6 members
  • Destination Marketing Organization Board – 6 members
  • Wellington Recreation Ward Committee – 7 members

Any permanent resident, property owner, or business owner in Prince Edward County that is 16 years of age or older is eligible to apply for most boards/committees.  The Destination Marketing Organization and the PEC Affordable Housing Corporation are municipal corporations that operate at an arms-length to the municipality, and applicants must be 18 years of age or older to apply for these boards.

The deadline to apply for the committee openings is 11:59 pm EST on Wednesday May 4, 2022. To learn more and to apply online, visit the County website (https://www.thecounty.ca/government/boards-committees/).
