The County is looking to attract a diverse range of dedicated community volunteers to serve on several committees and task teams.
The municipality is specifically seeking three members for the newly created Street Naming Task Team. The main goals of the task team will be to review all suggestions and nominations for street names, in accordance with the Commemorative Street Naming Policy, and conduct research to ensure the validity of the proposed street names.
Committees provide Council and staff with input about a wide variety of subjects through discussions, presentations and recommendations. Becoming a member of a committee offers individuals a unique chance to volunteer their highly valued skills and knowledge to better the community.
The County is also looking to fill the following vacancies:
- Cemetery Advisory Committee – 2 members
- Accessibility Advisory Committee – 1 member
- Museum Advisory Committee – 1 member
- Heritage Advisory Committee – 1 member
- Community and Economic Development Commission – 1 youth member (between the ages of 16 and 25)
Any permanent resident, property owner, or business owner in Prince Edward County that is 16 years of age or older is eligible to apply.
