The County of Prince Edward will resume delivering services at Shire Hall beginning on Tuesday, April 18.
As of 8:30 am on April 18, the public will have access to the following services at Shire Hall (332 Picton Main Street):
- Pay tax and utility bills
- Make payments of fines for provincial offences, violations of municipal by-laws and minor federal offences
- Speak to a customer service representative
- Acquire garbage bag tags
To assist with the move back to Shire Hall from the Edward Building, the revised hours of operation for administrative offices are as follows:
Edward Building, Suite 103
Friday, April 14: Edward Building, Suite 103 closed at noon to prepare for move over the weekend.
Shire Hall
Monday, April 17: Closed to the public for office setup
Tuesday, April 18: Open regular hours, 8:30 am – 5 pm
The Mayor’s Office, CAO’s Office, and the Clerk’s Office will return to Shire Hall on Monday, April 24. Clerk’s Office services — marriage licences, commissioner of oath, liquour and lottery licensing services — will continue to be offered by appointment. The first Council meeting inside the renovated Chambers at Shire Hall will occur on Tuesday, April 25. Advisory committee meetings will continue to meet virtually as per the County’s procedural by-law. Live stream and recordings of Council, Committee of the Whole, Planning and Development, and advisory committee meetings are available on the County’s YouTube channel.

The County temporarily relocated some services to the ground floor of the Edward Building (280 Picton Main Street, Suite 103) during the Shire Hall renovation project. The County made accessibility improvements to Shire Hall. Changes to physical spaces and upgrades to technology have reduced the barriers that the public faces when accessing services and engaging with Council at Shire Hall.
