COVID-19 vaccination clinics available in April

March 29, 2023

Residents are encouraged to protect themselves and their loved ones by staying up to date with their COVID-19 vaccinations.

To make it easy for residents to get the vaccination they need, clinics will be held in Prince Edward County in April.

Clinics will be held at the Prince Edward Community Centre (375 Picton Main Street, Picton) on the following days:

  • Tuesday, April 11: 3 pm to 6:30 pm
  • Tuesday, April 25: 3 pm to 6:30 pm

These clinics are by appointment only and are available to all people over the age of 6 months. You can book an appointment by going online to book or calling the Provincial Vaccine Contact Centre at 1.833.943.3900.

The Prince Edward Family Health Team is encouraging residents to get a bivalent booster as it increases your protection against severe COVID-19 from Omicron variants 40 per cent more than the previous boosters.

Children over 5 can now get a bivalent booster 6 months after their last shot. Bivalent boosters are also available for everyone over 12 years of age, 6 months after your last shot. For the best benefit from your COVID-19 booster, you should wait 3 months after a COVID-19 infection. High-risk individuals can now book online if it has been three months since your last shot.

If you are not sure which bivalent vaccine to get, you are encouraged to speak with the health professionals on site to walk you through your options and help you decide what is best for you.
