Detailed design work for the rehabilitation of County Road 49 is now underway and is scheduled to be completed in the spring of 2021.
The County has contracted Jewell Engineering to complete the detailed design. Jewell Engineering will collect field information and conduct surveys along the entire length of the road over the next two months.
The work is not expected to cause any traffic delays or service disruptions.
The detailed design will ensure the rehabilitation project is “shovel ready” should funding become available. There is currently no construction budget for this project given the anticipated cost of approximately $20 million.
More information about the detailed design is available in the staff report that was presented at Committee of the Whole on October 15, 2020.
