Expanded capacity at Wellington indoor walking track

November 16, 2021

The County has expanded capacity for the indoor walking track at the Wellington and District Community Centre (111 Belleville Street) following consultation with Hastings Prince Edward Public Health.

Up to 20 people can now use the walking track at one time.

The municipality will offer three 50-minute sessions from Monday to Friday.

  • Session 1: 8-8:50 am. Doors open at 8 am for immediate entry; no late admittance
  • Session 2: 9-9:50 am. Doors open at 9 am for immediate entry; no late admittance
  • Session 3: 10-10:50 am. Doors open at 10 am for immediate entry; no late admittance

The County has also dropped the pre-registration requirement. The first 20 walkers for each session will be granted entry.

Proof of vaccination and photo ID will be required to enter the facility. Visit the Government of Ontario website to download your vaccine certificate. If you do not have a computer, a photo health card, or need help, call the Provincial Vaccine Contact Centre at 1.833.943.3900 to request a copy of your vaccine certificate by email or mail.

All participants must wear a face covering in the facility until they reach the track, sanitize and complete COVID-19 screening protocol. Programming is subject to change based on provincial guidelines.
