The Water and Wastewater Department will be working to conduct fire flow testing in Picton on Picton Main Street and Spencer Street in the vicinity of the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital.
- Fire flow testing will begin on Tuesday, November 2 at 8 am, with an expected completion time of 10 am the same day.
- This work is not expected to impact water quality; however, residents living in the area may experience intermittent pressure fluctuations and coloured water while fire flow testing is taking place. The water remains safe to drink throughout the duration of the fire flow testing.
- If coloured water is experienced, customers are encouraged to flush their water lines at the cold water tap nearest to the water meter once maintenance is complete.
