Hazardous waste drop-off event scheduled for August 13

August 11, 2022

County residents are invited to dispose of their household hazardous waste at a mobile drop-off event on Saturday, August 13.

County residents can drop household hazardous waste free of charge on Saturday, August 13 from 9 am – 2 pm. The event takes place at 75 County Road 1 (Sandy Hook Road). Residents dropping off waste are asked to avoid blocking the driveways while waiting to get into this event.

Household hazardous waste can be found in almost every room of your home. These products, if thrown in the garbage or poured down the drain, can have negative effects on the environment including an impact on groundwater and surface water such as creeks, rivers, and lakes.
