The County will be conducting leak detection work in the Rossmore/Fenwood Gardens Drinking Water System overnight on Wednesday, February 15 into the early morning of February 16 between the hours of 12 am and 7 am.
- Operators in vehicles marked with The County’s logo will be stationed throughout the Rossmore and Fenwood Gardens distribution system to conduct leak detection activities.
- Operators will conduct valve turning and monitoring activities in the distribution system and on isolated service connections. These activities will assist operators in identifying the underground leaks from the drinking water distribution system.
- Heavy equipment may limit visibility in the area of testing and noise levels may be elevated for the duration of work.
- This work is not expected to impact water quality; however, residents in the affected areas may experience brief interruption to service, intermittent pressure fluctuations and coloured water while construction is taking place. The water remains safe to drink throughout the duration of the work.
- If coloured water is experienced, customers are encouraged to flush their water lines at the cold water tap nearest to the water meter once work is complete.
