Military training in Prince Edward County Nov. 22-Dec. 3

November 15, 2021

The Canadian Forces School of Communications and Electronics (CFSCE) will be conducting a training exercise in Prince Edward County at various times from Nov. 22-Dec. 3.

As part of this final training exercise for the Communications Electronics Engineering Officers (CELE), small sections (five to six personnel) will set up equipment (recce tent, table, some small portable communications equipment) at various locations including public spaces such as parks and recreation centre parking lots in Prince Edward County.

The set-ups will last for approximately one to two hours over a 12-hour period and will not impact the operation of the parks and recreation centres.

This final exercise will serve to simulate a deployed environment where students are pushed to train in a disaster-relief scenario that runs 24/7 over two weeks. Nighttime set-ups will occur during the exercise.
