Members from the Canadian Patrol Pathfinder Group will be conducting training on the Millennium Trail between Benway Road and Forte Kent Road on Tuesday, August 1.
- The exercise will occur between the hours of 3 am and 7 am.
- The training involves the movement of Pathfinder trainees, carrying their rucksack and rifle, along the Millennium Trail. The Canadian Army Advanced Warfare Centre (CAAWC), CFB Trenton, will undertake the training.
- The Millennium Trail Use By-law establishes the permitted hours of use of the trail as between 7 am and 11 pm. Council waived these provisions to allow the training to occur overnight. The training exercise will adhere to all other provisions in the by-law.
- It is not expected that the training will generate much, if any, nuisance noise; however, as a cautionary measure, Council has waived the provisions of the Noise By-Law for the duration of the exercise.
