July 28, 2023

July 28, 2023

Members from the Canadian Patrol Pathfinder Group will be conducting training on the Millennium Trail between Benway Road and Forte Kent Road on Tuesday, August 1.

  • The exercise will occur between the hours of 3 am and 7 am.
  • The training involves the movement of Pathfinder trainees, carrying their rucksack and rifle, along the Millennium Trail. The Canadian Army Advanced Warfare Centre (CAAWC), CFB Trenton, will undertake the training.
  • The Millennium Trail Use By-law establishes the permitted hours of use of the trail as between 7 am and 11 pm. Council waived these provisions to allow the training to occur overnight. The training exercise will adhere to all other provisions in the by-law.
  • It is not expected that the training will generate much, if any, nuisance noise; however, as a cautionary measure, Council has waived the provisions of the Noise By-Law for the duration of the exercise.
  • For more information, contact the County of Prince Edward at 613.476.2148 extension 1023, 613.962.9108 extension 1023, or
