Canadian Armed Forces training exercise on Millennium Trail August 2

July 26, 2021

The public is advised that the Canadian Armed Forces will be conducting a training exercise on the Millennium Trail on August 2, 2021 between the hours of 3 am and 2 pm.

Pathfinder trainees from CFB Trenton will move along the western 20 kilometres of the Millennium Trail, starting at the Murray Canal and heading eastward. The trainees will be carrying rucksacks and unloaded rifles. The group will be escorted by two all-terrain vehicles.

County Council has granted special permission to the Pathfinders to undertake this training exercise outside of the Millennium Trail’s hours of permitted use (7 am – 11 pm). The training exercise is not expected to generate much, if any, nuisance noise; however, as a precautionary measure, Council has waived the provisions of the noise by-law for this exercise between the hours of 3 am and 7 am on August 2, 2021.

For more information, contact the County of Prince Edward at 613.476.2148 extension 1023, 613.962.9108 extension 1023, or info@pecounty.on.ca.
