Next stage of Highway 33 improvements to begin October 13

October 13, 2020

The next stage of construction work on Highway 33 (Loyalist Parkway) outside of Picton will begin on Tuesday, October 13.

The work is taking place on Highway 33 between Cold Storage Road and the Millennium Trail.

Barr Construction is installing new storm sewer and associated structures, widening the road for the construction of a new intersection, and installing signals at the intersection.

Work will continue until the winter season. Final paving will be completed in the early summer of 2021.

The work will result in traffic disruptions and lane restrictions on Highway 33.

Heavy equipment will result in elevated noise levels and reduced visibility for motorists and pedestrians.

Access to businesses and residences in the area will be maintained at all times.
