Prince Edward County is partnering with Tree Canada and the LCBO to host a tree planting event at the Wilkinson Memorial Park in Waupoos.
The plantings will take place Saturday, October 1 at 10 am.
The planting event will be part of a larger planting effort that includes a tree planting event by Tree the County and Home Hardware occurring at the same location.
There will be a variety of different sizes and types of trees and shrubs to be planted around the park. Community members who wish to join in and help beautify the park are welcome to participate. Volunteers are encouraged to wear sturdy shoes or boots, bring gloves, sun/bug protection, and a spade shovel if they have one.
