County Council will consider the proposed 2023 operating budget February 23-24.
The Director of Finance will provide an overview of the 2023 operating budget on February 23 beginning at 7 pm.
Council will reconvene at 9 am on Friday, February 24 at which time County senior leadership will present the budget in greater detail.
If necessary, Council will meet at 9 am on Thursday, March 2 to finalize the 2023 operating budget.
The revised budget meeting schedule was required due to the inclement weather on February 22.
Council will review a proposed tax-supported operating budget of $70.8 million and a rate-supported operating budget for water and wastewater services of $11.5 million.
The proposed 2023 operating budget aims to maintain consistent levels of service while dealing with a complex set of challenges such as supply chain issues, higher budget requests from external agencies, cost of living increases, and limited funding from upper levels of government for infrastructure.
County Council adopted the tax-supported capital budget of $85.1 million on February 3. Council also approved the water and wastewater capital budget of $25.1 million.
