A revised detour route for the Picton Main Street reconstruction project will be in place on Thursday, December 1.
Picton Main Street will be closed to through traffic between Bridge Street and Johnson Street from 7 am until 5 pm.
The detour is required in order for the contractor to install the final course of asphalt on Picton Main Street.
Southbound traffic will be directed to detour around the closure using McFarland Drive, Macsteven Drive, Johnson Street, Queen Street, Paul Street, King Street and Walton Street.
Northbound traffic will be directed to detour around the closure using Walton Street, King Street, Paul Street, Jane Street, Johnson Street, MacSteven Drive, and McFarland Drive.
In the event that weather does not permit the paving operations on December 1, the detour and paving will be postponed until Friday, December 2. Follow the County on Facebook and Twitter for updates.
