Picton waste transfer site closed May 4 & May 7

The Picton waste transfer site closed on Wednesday, May 4 and Saturday, May 7.

  • Staff will be completing upgrades at the site during the closure.
  • The Picton waste transfer site (37 Church Street, Picton) will reopen on Wednesday, May 11.
  • As an alternative, the Hallowell waste transfer site (1080 Shannon Road), the Sophiasburgh waste transfer site (35 County Road 14), and the South Marysburgh landfill (1132 Old Milford Road) will be open on Wednesday, May 4 from 8 am until 4 pm.
  • All sites, with the exception of the Picton waste transfer site, will be open regular hours on Saturday, May 7.
  • Please visit the County website for more information about landfills and transfer sites including hours of operation, what is and isn’t accepted at each location, and disposal costs. Landfills and transfer sites only accept cash.
