The County has scheduled a public information centre (PIC) for the Picton Main Street reconstruction project on Wednesday, May 10.
The PIC will take place at the Prince Edward Community Centre (375 Picton Main Street) from 6-8 pm. The purpose of the PIC is to review the detailed design of the project, provide further information to the residents, and gather input from stakeholders.
The County will reconstruct Picton Main Street in 2023 from Johnson Street to 250 metres east of Spencer Street.
The work will include the installation of new underground infrastructure including watermains, sanitary sewers, and storm sewers. After that work is complete, the roadway will be reconstructed with new concrete curb and gutters, concrete sidewalks, and a new an asphalt roadway surface.
