Public information meeting for Allswell Resort (Athol Ward) scheduled for March 7

February 27, 2024

A public information meeting for a development proposal at 41 Willow Lane in Athol Ward (Allswell Resort) will take place on Thursday, March 7 from 6-8 pm at the Athol Town Hall (1685 County Road 10).

The County has received an amended application for a Zoning By-law Amendment to permit redevelopment of 41 Willow Lane in Athol Ward.

The amendment would permit:

  • 11 tourist cabins
  • A motel with 12 guest rooms
  • Un-motorized water craft rental
  • Barn for dry storage
  • Accessory uses including a club house, boat launch, boat docks, pool, bar, and washrooms.

Special provisions will recognize lot dimensions and the location of existing buildings to remain on site.

Materials for the application can be viewed on the County website.

This public meeting is an information meeting only. Public information meetings are held as part of the updated planning application process.

At a public information meeting, the proponent/agent will present the proposal. If any member of the public would like to ask questions or make comments, they will be able to do so after the presentation by the applicant.

The statutory public meeting required under the Planning Act will be a Planning Committee meeting and would only be held after the public information meeting and when the assigned County planner has completed an analysis of the project.

If you have any questions regarding the location or format of the public meeting please contact Scott Pordham, Policy Planning Coordinator, at 613.476.2148 extension 2024 or email spordham@pecounty.on.ca.
