Public information meeting for Sterling Homes Development (380 Wellington Main Street) Nov. 29

November 15, 2023

November 15, 2023

A public information meeting for the Sterling Homes development proposal (380 Wellington Main Street) will take place at the Wellington and District Community Centre on Wednesday, November 29 at 6 pm.

The County has received an application for a Zoning By-law Amendment (File Number Z3-23). The lands are located south of the Millennium Trail, west of Cleminson Street, and north of Wellington Main Street, within the Ward of Wellington.

The application would result in the development of approximately 253 dwelling units consisting of lane-front townhomes, rear-lane townhomes, back-to-back townhomes, and single-detached homes. The site would be accessed from two points: one located on Wellington Main Street and the other located on Cleminson Street.

Members of the public who wish to attend the meeting are asked to register by contacting Matthew Coffey, Planning Approvals, Coordinator, at mcoffey@pecounty.on.ca by noon on November 29. If you have any questions regarding the location or format of the public meeting please contact Mr. Coffey.

Materials for the application can be viewed on The County’s website.

New Planning Application Process

This public meeting is an information meeting only. Public information meetings are held as part of the updated planning application process approved in 2021.

At a public information meeting, the proponent/agent will present the proposal. If any member of the public would like to ask questions or make comments, they will be able to do so after the presentation by the applicant.

The statutory public meeting required under the Planning Act will be a Planning Committee meeting and would only be held after the public information meeting and when the assigned County planner has completed an analysis of the project.
