A public open house for the Parks and Recreation Master Plan is scheduled for Wednesday, February 28.
The open house will take place at the Prince Edward Community Centre, 375 Picton Main Street, from 6 – 8 pm.
The public open house is an opportunity for members of the community to learn about the 10-year Parks and Recreation Master Plan and its importance to the future of the County’s indoor facilities, parks, open spaces, and trails. Attendees will be able to review the key directions and recommended options, provide feedback, and ask questions to County staff and members of the consulting team.
The County began developing a Parks and Recreation Plan in 2023 to guide the future direction of recreational facilities and services. The plan will assist the County in managing the direction of parks, open spaces, programs, events, facilities, and amenities in a cost effective and sustainable manner.
Sierra Planning and Management, in collaboration with the MBTW Group and WGD Architects, has been commissioned to develop the County’s Parks and Recreation Master Plan.
