Report on County Road 7 (Lake on the Mountain) pedestrian & vehicle traffic review now posted

January 28, 2022

A report on the pedestrian and vehicle traffic review of County Road 7 (Lake on the Mountain) is now available for viewing on the County website.

The report, prepared by Ainley Group, will be presented at a virtual Public Information Centre (PIC) on Monday, January 31 at 7 pm.

The PIC is an information-only meeting, where findings of the report will be presented but no decisions made. If any member of the public would like to ask questions or make comments they will be able to do so after the presentation.

The County has extended the sign-up deadline to attend the virtual meeting. Email Aynsley Osborne at aosborne@pecounty.on.ca by noon on Monday, January 31 to register.

In August 2021, Council directed staff to prepare a report that includes a technical evaluation of pedestrian and vehicle safety in the Lake on the Mountain area. The municipality undertook this work in response to concerns about parking restrictions on the public roadway in this area.

Following the PIC, staff will consider all feedback received in conjunction with the findings of the review and bring forward a staff report with recommendations that will be presented to Council at a meeting in February or March.
