Road surface crack sealing work planned

May 28, 2021

Crack sealing of road surfaces is scheduled to begin next week.

The County has retained a contractor to undertake the work, which may result in traffic disruptions and single lane closures.

  • Crack sealing of road surfaces will begin Monday, May 31.
  • Work will take place between 7 am and 6 pm and take place on County Road 33 (Loyalist Parkway) between Rosehall and Wellington (West Town Limit). Additional roads may be completed as budget permits.
  • Some traffic delays may occur as a result of single lane closures required for the work.
  • Equipment may limit visibility in the area and noise levels will be elevated for the duration of the repair.
  • Crack sealing is a preventative maintenance technique to prevent the intrusion of water and debris into existing cracks, protecting the road from further deterioration.
  • Visit the County website to learn more about the road rehabilitation and preventative maintenance program.
  • For more information, contact the County of Prince Edward at 613.476.2148 extension 1023, 613.962.9108 extension 1023 or info@pecounty.on.ca.
