Section of Millennium Trail closed Oct. 11 – Dec. 1

October 6, 2022

The Millennium Trail from McFarland Drive to Leo Finnigan Drive in Picton will be closed from October 11 until December 1.

The County will be installing a new watermain section along this section of the Millennium Trail during the closure.

The new watermain is part of the planned upgrades to the municipal water distribution system identified in the Master Servicing Class Environmental Assessment for Picton East. The planned upgrade supports improvements for the current users and provides the first phase of the water distribution expansion needed to facilitate future development of the area, including a new municipal long-term care home, which is currently in the design phase.

The project will be monitored by County staff to ensure that there will be no adverse impact on the natural environment as a result of the construction.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Tom Kovendi, Project Manager, at 613.503.0195 or tkovendi@pecounty.on.ca.

Please note: The County of Prince Edward provides this information as a service to the general public.
