Shire Hall accessibility improvements set for 2022

October 14, 2021

The County of Prince Edward will make accessibility improvements to Shire Hall beginning in early 2022.

Changes to physical spaces and upgrades to technology will reduce the barriers that the public faces when accessing services and engaging with Council at Shire Hall.

The scope of the renovation will be finalized once the tendering process is complete. The County has received funding from the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program to cover the costs of the work.

The municipality anticipates beginning the work in January 2022 with completion in Spring 2022. Shire Hall will be closed to the public and staff during the construction. The municipality is developing a plan for relocating the services currently offered at Shire Hall. Details will be shared with the public in November.

For more information, contact the County of Prince Edward at 613.476.2148 extension 1023, 613.962.9108 extension 1023, or info@pecounty.on.ca.
