Special Committee meeting for short-term accommodation changes scheduled for August 8

August 4, 2022

A special Committee of the Whole meeting will be held on Monday, August 8 regarding short-term accommodations (STA).

Committee will consider a new staff report outlining proposed changes to the STA licensing program and several related by-laws including the STA licensing by-law, fees and charges by-law, administrative monetary penalty system by-law, and the comprehensive zoning by-law.

The meeting will provide Council with the opportunity to examine options related to items identified for further investigation by Council at a special Committee of the Whole meeting on July 7, 2022. Any decisions made at the August 8 meeting will not be final until ratified at the Council meeting on Tuesday, August 16.

The Committee of the Whole meeting will begin at 6 pm inside Highline Hall at the Wellington and District Community Centre (111 Belleville Street, Wellington). The public is welcome to attend this meeting in-person.
