The County is initiating the Picton Master Servicing Plan (MSP) study to determine infrastructure requirements for water, wastewater, stormwater and transportation for the Picton/Bloomfield serviced area.
This study is following the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment Master Plan Process and will support projected growth and planned development in the area.
The MSP study is being conducted in accordance with the requirements of Phase 1 and 2 of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment, which is an approved process under the Environmental Assessment Act.
Key findings and recommendations of the Picton MSP study will be considered and accounted for in other planning studies being undertaken in the County, including the Regional Water Supply Servicing Master Plan and the Class Environmental Assessment Studies for the Wellington Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants.
Public consultation is an integral component of the Master Planning. Residents’ input will be sought during the planning process. A Public Information Centre (PIC) will be held as part of the study process. Once a date for the PIC is confirmed, the County will publish invitation notices to the PIC in local newspapers and on the County’s website, as well as distribute the notices to all individuals who express an interest in this project.
If you want to be added to the project contact list to receive notices and information, or to provide comments at any time during the process, please contact Jeff Shortt, Project Manager, at 613.476.2148 extension 1007 or email jshortt@pecounty.on.ca.
