Traffic Disruptions on Jane Street (Picton) June 29 and 30

June 29, 2023

June 29, 2023

The Water and Wastewater Department will be working with contractors to conduct repairs of a sanitary sewer on Jane Street in Picton.

  • Work will take place on Thursday, June 29 and Friday, June 30 between approximately 8:00 am and 6:00 pm on both days.
  • Jane Street will be closed to through traffic between Paul Street and Johnson Street for the duration of the work. Traffic control will be in place. Motorists are asked to avoid the construction area and travel alternate routes if possible.
  • Heavy equipment may limit visibility in the area and noise levels will be elevated for the duration of the repair.
  • These repairs are not expected to impact water quality or sanitary sewer service. Should coloured water be experienced due to vibrations from construction, customers are encouraged to flush the cold water tap closest to the water meter until water runs clear once work is complete.
  • For more information, contact the County of Prince Edward at 613.476.2148 ext. 1023, 613.962.9108 ext. 1023, or info@pecounty.on.ca.
