Tree removal work in Wellington on December 15

December 14, 2021

A tree removal operation will take place at 251 Wellington Main Street on Wednesday, December 15.

  • County Arborists will be removing a locust tree that sustained damage during a recent wind storm and poses a significant risk to the public and the surrounding property.
  • The work will take place between 8 am and noon on December 15 and is not expected to impact traffic.
  • Noise levels will be elevated for the duration of the tree removal and clean-up operation. Residents are asked to avoid the area until the removal is complete.
  • The County will plant a replacement tree next year, as per the Tree Management and Preservation Policy. Staff are still determining a suitable location for the replacement tree.
