August 17, 2021

The public is advised that a virtual public meeting will take place on August 24, 2021 at 7pm regarding the planning applications Z5-19 & SP-01-19 (The Views).

The County has received applications for Zoning By-law Amendment and Site Plan Control approval for a residential development consisting of multi-unit residential buildings and townhomes. The subject lands are currently zoned in the Special Rural Residential 1 (RR1-44) Zone, and Limited Service (LSR) Zone. Through Zoning File Z5-19, the site is proposed to be zoned the Special Urban Residential 3 (R3-XX) Zone. Through Site Plan Control Application File No. SP-01-19, the applicant proposes to implement the development through a detailed plan. The purpose and effect of the applications will be to change the zoning of the subject lands in the Comprehensive Zoning By-Law No. 18-16-2006.

Members of the public who wish to attend the virtual public meeting must register by contacting mcoffey@pecounty.on.ca by noon on Monday August 23, 2021. The meeting will be held virtually on Microsoft Teams. If you have any questions regarding accessing Microsoft Teams, please contact Matt Coffey at the email address above.

Materials for each of the above applications can also be viewed on The County’s website.

New Planning Application Process:

This public meeting is an information meeting only. Public information meetings are held as part of the new planning application process announced on July 12, 2021.

At a public information meeting, the proponent/agent will present the proposal. If any member of the public would like to ask questions or make comments, they will be able to do so after the presentation by the applicant.

The statutory public meeting required under the Planning Act will be a Planning Committee meeting and would only be held after the public information meeting and when the assigned County planner has completed an analysis of the project.
