Water service repairs on Bloomfield Main Street / Hwy 33, Loyalist Parkway

January 19, 2022

The Water and Wastewater Department will be working to conduct water service repairs on Bloomfield Main Street/Highway 33, Loyalist Parkway, Bloomfield.

  • Repairs will begin Thursday, January 20, 2022 at 8am, with an expected completion time of 5pm the same day.
  • Traffic on Bloomfield Main Street/Highway 33, Loyalist Parkway between Mallory Road and Corey Street may be reduced to one lane. Traffic control will be in place. Heavy equipment may limit visibility in the area and noise levels will be elevated for the duration of the repair. Motorists are asked to avoid the construction area and take alternate routes if possible.
  • These repairs are not expected to impact water quality; however, all residents connected to municipal water on Bloomfield Main Street/Highway 33, Loyalist Parkway between Mallory Road and civic address 158 Bloomfield Main Street may experience temporary loss of water service, intermittent pressure fluctuations and coloured water while construction is taking place. The water remains safe to drink throughout the duration of construction.
  • If coloured water is experienced, customers are encouraged to flush their water lines at the cold water tap nearest to the water meter once repairs are complete and water service is restored.
