Earth Day Event- Tree Giveaway

The Emerald Ash borer (EAB) is in the process of decimating local population of Ash trees in the County and in much of Ontario. To offset this loss, municipality is hosting a tree giveaway for people impacted by the EAB and those wishing to plant trees on their private property.
A total of 2,000 trees will be available at:
- The Prince Edward Community Centre – 375 Picton Main Street (Entrance off of MacStevens Drive)
- The Wellington and District Community Centre (111 Belleville Street)
- Roblin Lake in Ameliasburgh (13 Coleman Street).
Residents can collect up to 10 free saplings from the above locations for planting on their property.
Trees will be available on a first come first serve basis. Varieties available will depend on the supplier.
