Public Consultation Centre: Transportation Master Plan (TMP) amendment for Picton
April 3 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Preliminary findings and alternative solutions will be presented at a second public consultation centre (PCC) for the Transportation Master Plan (TMP) amendment for Picton.
The PCC will be held on Wednesday, April 3 from 6-8 pm at the Prince Edward Community Centre (375 Picton Main Street, Picton). The PCC will follow a drop-in format with members of the study team on hand to discuss the study and answer any questions.
The County of Prince Edward completed a County-wide TMP in 2021. The municipality is undertaking an amendment of the TMP for the Picton Settlement Area. The amendment is now required due to a higher level of growth projected within the study area, beyond what was assumed as part of the 2021 TMP.
The TMP will assess the short- and long-term transportation infrastructure needs and deficiencies within Picton. The plan will identify improvements to the multi-modal transportation network in order to address existing and future travel demands.
Public consultation is an important part of the TMP. Three PCCs are currently planned as part of this study. The first PCC was held on December 12, 2023 and introduced the study. Visit the County website to learn more about this study.
