SUMMARY:Earth Day Event- Tree Giveaway
DESCRIPTION:The Emerald Ash borer (EAB) is in the process of decimating local population of Ash trees in the County and in much of Ontario. To offset this loss\, municipality is hosting a tree giveaway for people impacted by the EAB and those wishing to plant trees on their private property. \nA total of 2\,000 trees will be available at: \n\nThe Prince Edward Community Centre – 375 Picton Main Street (Entrance off of MacStevens Drive)\nThe Wellington and District Community Centre (111 Belleville Street)\nRoblin Lake in Ameliasburgh (13 Coleman Street).\n\nResidents can collect up to 10 free saplings from the above locations for planting on their property. \nTrees will be available on a first come first serve basis. Varieties available will depend on the supplier.

SUMMARY:PEC Summer Pass: Pickup event
DESCRIPTION:If you do not have a valid yellow PEC Summer Pass\, you can register for a new green 2024 PEC Summer Pass. The green pass will be valid for three years and will expire at the end of 2026. \nGetting a green pass is a two-step process. You will need to register using the online form and then go in person to a pick up location or event to collect your pass. \nPicking up your pass\nAfter you have registered\, you will need to pick up your pass. To obtain your green 2024 PEC Summer Pass\, come in person to a pick up location/event (see schedule below) and bring the following: \n\nProof that you are a resident or taxpayer of the County of Prince Edward. Bring a photo ID that has your County address on it; or\, if your ID does not have a County address on it\, you must also bring a tax bill\, water bill\, lease agreement\, or other official document with your name and County address on it.\nProof that your vehicle(s) is/are registered to your household (ownership card or insurance card with your name and/or your County address\, plus the licence plate for the vehicles you wish to register).\n\nNOTE: Without proof of residency AND vehicle ownership you will not be given a pass.
