DESCRIPTION:Information and Help Session for Municipal Financial Relief Grant Applications:\n \n\nFriday\, May 23 from 1 pm – 3 pm at the Wellington and District Community Centre (111 Belleville Street)\n\nResidents can also receive free assistance with applications by scheduling an appointment with any of the following: \n\nPrince Edward Learning Centre\nPrince Edward County Community Cares for Seniors Association\nPrince Edward County Public Libraries\n\nMunicipal Financial Relief Grant Information:\nLow-income Prince Edward County residents can now apply for financial relief on their property taxes or water/wastewater bills for their primary residence through the Municipal Financial Relief Grant. \nApplications will be accepted until July 15\, 2025. \n\nCounty residents can apply for one of the two available grant streams:\n\nQualifying tenants who pay for water and wastewater services can apply for a credit of up to $350 on their water bill.\nQualifying homeowners can apply for a credit of up to $750 on their property tax account.\n\n\nApplicants will be notified of the outcome of their application by the end of August; credits are applied ahead of September bills.\nHouseholds earning less than $32\,240 (single income) or $64\,480 (family income) will be able to apply.\nHouseholds that earn $20\,000/year or less would receive a $1\,000 credit toward their property taxes or $500 toward their water bill.\n Click here for more information on eligibility requirements and how to apply.\n\nThe municipally funded program is administered by The County Foundation.
