DESCRIPTION:The County of Prince Edward municipal offices will be closed on Monday\, October 13 for Thanksgiving. \nOffices will reopen on Tuesday\, October 14 at 8:30 am. \nGarbage and recycling collection \n\nCurbside garbage\, green bin\, and recycling pickup service will occur according to the regular schedule.\nEnvironmental 360 Solutions reminds residents to have their garbage\, green bin\, and properly sorted blue boxes out to the curb by 7 am to ensure pickup.\nIf your collection is missed on collection day\, please call Environmental 360 Solutions at 1.866.358.3560.\nThe municipality’s landfill and transfer stations will be open regular hours on Saturday\, October 11. Visit the municipal website for more information.\n\nRecreation Facilities \nThe Wellington and District Community Centre\, the Prince Edward Community Centre and Community Halls will be closed on Monday\, October 13. \nThe walking track at the Wellington and District Community Centre (WDCC) will reopen on Tuesday\, October 14 at 7 am. \nReminder: The walking track at the WDCC is operating on its ice season schedule of 7 am – 9 pm daily (except during paid admission events). \nRegular programming is scheduled Saturday\, October 11 and Sunday\, October 12. Click here to view the community ice schedule. \nPlease note: Additional community ice programming has been scheduled for the P.A. Day on Friday\, October 10: \nWellington and District Community Centre  \n\nPublic Skating: 8 am – 9 am*\nTicket Ice: 9 am – 10 am\nShinny: 10 am – 11 am\nPublic Skating: 4 pm – 5 pm*\n\nPrince Edward Community Centre  \n\nAdult + Tot Skating: 9 am – 10 am*\nPublic Skating: 10 am – 11 am*\nTicket Ice: 3 pm – 4 pm\nShinny: 4 pm – 5 pm*\n\n*Part of the regular scheduled program \nThe County Museums  \nThe County Museums will have varying operational hours on Thanksgiving Weekend: \n\nMariners Park Museum will be hosting a special event on Saturday\, October 11 at 7 pm with South Shore Joint Initiative: South Shore Dark Sky – South Shore Joint Initiative\nThe Scarecrow Festival will take place at Macaulay Heritage Park on Saturday\, October 11 and Sunday\, October 12 from 11 am – 4 pm. Macaulay Heritage Park will be closed Monday\, October 13.\nAmeliasburgh Heritage Village and Wellington Heritage Museum will be open regular operating hours Saturday\, October 11 from 1 pm – 4 pm.
