DESCRIPTION:The public can learn more and provide input on a proposed ballot question for the 2026 municipal election at the following public meeting: \nDate: November 18\, 2025\nTime: 6 pm\nLocation: Shire Hall\, 332 Picton Main Street \n  \nCounty Council intends to pass a by-law to add the following question to the election ballot: \nAre you in favour of a third-party review of Council size and related ward boundary changes? \nAnswer options: “Yes” or “No” only \n  \nFor the results of the question to be legally binding on the municipality: \n\nAt least 50 per cent of the eligible electors in the municipality vote on the question\, and\nMore than 50 per cent of the voters are in favour\n\nShould this occur the estimated costs of a third-party review would be between $60\,000 and $100\,000 depending on the scope of the work. Any changes would be in effect for the 2031 municipal election. \nVisit the County website for more information.
