DESCRIPTION:The County of Prince Edward municipal offices will be closed on Wednesday\, December 24 at 12 pm. \nOffices will reopen on Monday\, December 29 at 8:30 am. \nAdministrative offices  \n\nWednesday\, December 24: Administrative offices open\, 8:30 am – 12 pm.\nThursday\, December 25 and Friday\, December 26: Administrative offices closed. All necessary services will be operating as required.\nMonday\, December 29\, Tuesday\, December 30 and Wednesday\, December 31: Administrative offices open\, 8:30 am – 5 pm.\nThursday\, January 1: Administrative offices closed. All necessary services will be operating as required.\nFriday\, January 2: Administrative offices open\, 8:30 am – 5 pm.\n\nThe municipality will continue to deliver essential services every day throughout the holiday season. If you have an urgent inquiry when administrative offices are closed or after-hours\, please call: \n\n613.967.8777 for road\, water or sewer emergencies\nPrince Edward County Fire & Rescue is open 24/7 over the holiday season\, including statutory holidays. Dial 911 for emergencies / 613.476.2345 for non-emergencies.\n\nGarbage and recycling collection \n\nThere will be no garbage and recycling collection on Thursday\, December 25\, Friday\, December 26 or Thursday\, January 1. Regular collection will return on Friday\, January 2.\n\n\nGarbage and recycling collection will follow a temporary schedule over the holidays. Please find your regular collection date on the left and the corresponding temporary collection date on the right. If your collection is missed on collection day\, please call 1.866.358.3560.\n\nLandfill and transfer stations \n\nThe landfill and transfer stations’ operating hours will run as scheduled Saturday\, December 20 and Saturday\, December 27. The Wellington\, Sophiasburgh\, and Picton waste sites will be closed Wednesday\, December 24 and open on Wednesday\, December 31.\nClick here for each landfill and transfer station’s operating hours.\n\nRecreation Facilities \nThe Prince Edward Community Centre (PECC / 375 Picton Main Street) and the Wellington and District Community Centre (WDCC / 111 Belleville Street) will remain open over the holidays. Changes to operating hours are as follows: \n\nWednesday\, December 24:\n\nPECC: Open 7 am to 12 pm\nWDCC: Open 7 am to 12 pm\n\n\nThursday\, December 25: Closed\nFriday\, December 26:\n\nPECC: Open 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm\nWDCC: Open 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm\n\n\nThursday\, January 1:\n\nPECC: Open 12:30 pm to 3:30pm\nWDCC: Open 12:30pm to 3:30pm\n\n\n\nThe walking track at the WDCC is available 8 am – 8 pm during regular operating hours and will follow the above schedule on December 24\, 25\, 26 and January 1. \nCommunity ice opportunities\, including public skating\, will be available over the holidays. Click here to view the schedule. \nChildren 12 and under should be accompanied by an adult. Helmets are not mandatory but are recommended. \nPlease note: public skating will not be available at the WDCC on Friday\, January 2\, Saturday\, January 3 and Sunday\, January 4 due to previously scheduled events. \nCounty Transit \nCounty Transit will not operate on Thursday\, December 25\, Friday\, December 26 or Thursday\, January 1. \nCounty Transit’s scheduled route service will end in Belleville at 5:55 pm on Wednesday\, December 24 and Wednesday\, December 31. \nAll other days will operate per the regular schedule.
