DESCRIPTION:The County of Prince Edward municipal offices will be closed on Monday\, May 18 for the Victoria Day holiday. \nOffices will reopen on Tuesday\, May 19 at 8:30 am. \nGarbage and recycling collection \n\nRegular garbage\, green bin\, and recycling collection will occur on Monday\, May 18 with no interruptions.\nEnvironmental 360 Solutions reminds residents to have their garbage\, green bin\, and properly sorted blue box out to the curb by 7 am to ensure pickup.\nThe municipality’s landfill and transfer stations will be open regular hours on Saturday\, May 16.\n\nRecreation Centres \nThe Wellington and District Community Centre (WDCC) and the Prince Edward Community Centre will be closed on Monday\, May 18. \nThe walking track at the WDCC) will reopen on Tuesday\, May 19 at 8 am. \nReminder: As of Tuesday\, May 19 both community centres and the walking track at the WDCC will operate Monday – Friday\, 8 am – 4 pm. \n  \nThe County Museums \nAll five museums are set to reopen on Friday\, May 15 after the annual reset to bring in new exhibits and programming. \nSummer hours are as follows: \n\nAmeliasburgh Heritage Village (517 County Road 19\, Ameliasburgh)- Wednesday to Sunday\, 10 am – 4 pm\nMariners Park Museum (2065 County Road 13\, South Bay) – Friday to Sunday\, 10 am – 4 pm\nMacaulay Heritage Park (23 & 35 Church Street\, Picton) – Wednesday to Sunday 10 am – 4 pm\nRose House Museum (3333 County Road 8\, Waupoos) – Friday to Sunday\, 10 am – 4 pm\nWellington Heritage Museum (290 Main Street\, Wellington) – Wednesday to Sunday 10 am – 4 pm\n\nResidents and visitors are reminded that re-enactors with the “Gathering of Friends Rendezvous” will be firing muskets and a cannon at the Ameliasburgh Heritage Village from Friday\, May 15 to Sunday\, May 17. \nMembers of the public may hear noises associated with guns and cannon fire between 10 am and 4 pm each day during the event. Cannon fire will take place on Saturday\, May 16 at 12 pm\, 12:20 pm\, 12:40 pm and 1 pm. The re-enactors will not be firing live rounds of ammunition during the event. \nThis event is family-friendly and open to everyone. Entry is by donation.
