DESCRIPTION:The County of Prince Edward municipal offices will be closed on Wednesday\, July 1 for Canada Day. \nOffices will reopen on Thursday\, July 2 at 8:30 am. \nGarbage and recycling collection \nThe garbage\, green bin and recycling collection schedule will temporarily change due to the Canada Day holiday from June 29 to July 1. \nThere will be no collection on Wednesday\, July 1. Please find your regular collection date on the left and the corresponding temporary collection date on the right. Regular collection will resume on Thursday\, July 2. \n  \n\n\n\nIf your regular collection date is:\nYour temporary collection  \nday will be:\n\n\nTuesday\, June 30\nMonday\, June 29\n\n\nWednesday\, July 1\nTuesday\, June 30\n\n\n\n  \nClick here to view the 2026 holiday collection schedule. \nResidents must have their garbage\, green bin\, and properly sorted blue boxes out to the curb by 7 am to ensure pickup. If your recycling collection is missed on collection day\, please call 1.866.358.3560. If your garbage collection is missed\, call 613.476.2148 extension 1023. Visit https://e360s.ca/service-updates/ for information on delays or changes in collection schedules. \n  \nGarbage bags must be tightly sealed and weigh no more than 40lbs when filled. All bags must have a visible tag. To review the Waste Management By-law\, please click here. \n  \nLandfill and transfer stations \nThe landfill and transfer stations’ operating hours will not be impacted by the holiday and will run as scheduled Saturday\, June 27\, Wednesday\, July 1\, and Saturday\, July 4. \nClick here for each landfill and transfer station’s operating hours. \n  \nRecreation Centres \nThe Prince Edward Community Centre (375 Picton Main Street) and the Wellington and District Community Centre (111 Belleville Street) will be closed on Wednesday\, July 1. \nBoth community centres and the walking track at the WDCC will return to the regular schedule of Monday – Friday\, 8 am – 4 pm on Thursday\, July 2. \n  \nPECelebrates \nA celebration of community\, cultures and Canada\, takes place until July 1 in Prince Edward County. Details about the PECelebrates Festival are available on The County’s website. \nFeatured events include REVEL: Celebrating Diversity\, the Wellington Street Dance and Fireworks Show\, and Canada Day celebrations in Picton and Wellington. \n  \nThe County Museums \nThe County Museums will be closed on Wednesday\, July 1. \nSummer hours are as follows: \n\nAmeliasburgh Heritage Village (517 County Road 19\, Ameliasburgh)- Wednesday to Sunday\, 10 am – 4 pm\nMariners Park Museum (2065 County Road 13\, South Bay) – Friday to Sunday\, 10 am – 4 pm\nMacaulay Heritage Park (23 & 35 Church Street\, Picton) – Wednesday to Sunday 10 am – 4 pm\nRose House Museum (3333 County Road 8\, Waupoos) – Friday to Sunday\, 10 am – 4 pm\nWellington Heritage Museum (290 Main Street\, Wellington) – Wednesday to Sunday 10 am – 4 pm\n\n  \nCounty Transit \nCounty Transit will not operate on Wednesday\, July 1. \n  \nAfter-hour inquiries \nIf you have an urgent inquiry when administrative offices are closed or after-hours\, please call: \n\n613.476.6505 for road emergencies\n613.967.8777 for water or sewer emergencies\n\n  \nPlease note: The County of Prince Edward provides this information as a service to the general public.
