SUMMARY:Business Retention and Expansion (BR+E) Survey- Agricultural Sector: Focus Group- The Future of the Family Farm
DESCRIPTION:The County of Prince Edward has launched a Business Retention and Expansion (BR+E) survey focused on the agricultural sector\, and local farmers are encouraged to participate. \nThe survey was designed with input from farmers across the municipality\, including the chair of the Agricultural Advisory Committee\, commodity producers\, dairy farmers\, equine operations\, food growers\, wine industry representatives\, and the regional representative of the Ontario Federation of Agriculture. \nWhy participate? \nThe BR+E survey\, which takes about 10 minutes to complete\, is a key tool for understanding the challenges and opportunities facing agriculture in Prince Edward County. Feedback will help the municipality better understand how municipal programs and policies are impacting local farms\, and where we could provide better supports that strengthen farm businesses and the rural economy. \nIn addition to the survey\, farmers are invited to join sector-specific focus groups to share insights and ideas: \n\nThe Future of the Family Farm\nFebruary 25 | Rotary Hall\, Picton | 11 am – 2 pm (includes lunch)\n\nHow to complete the survey:\nVisit surveymonkey.com/r/Ag_BRE to share your input today. \nYour voice matters! Help us build a stronger agricultural economy for Prince Edward County. \nFor questions or additional information\, please contact Economic Development Officer Karen Palmer at kpalmer@pecounty.on.ca or kpalmer@pecounty.on.ca.

SUMMARY:County Commons Co-Working
DESCRIPTION:County Commons is a co-working program hosted at Picton Town Hall. It offers a shared workspace for area professionals\, entrepreneurs\, and creatives to work\, connect\, and collaborate. \nCounty Commons is an initiative by the County of Prince Edward Economic Development office to explore co-working opportunities for our community. \nWe were encouraged to pilot co-working opportunities through a recent business retention and expansion survey focusing on professional services and remote workers. \n\n\nPre-registration is recommended to guarantee your spot. Walk-ins are welcome if space allows. Register here. \n\n\n\n\nFor the pilot phase\, County Commons is free of charge. Future sessions may include a small fee\, based on demand and feedback. \nPlease click here for more information. \nIf you have any questions or want to get involved\, please contact Karen Palmer at kpalmer@pecounty.on.ca or 613.242.6476.
