DESCRIPTION:The County of Prince Edward municipal offices will be closed on Monday\, May 18 for the Victoria Day holiday. \nOffices will reopen on Tuesday\, May 19 at 8:30 am. \nGarbage and recycling collection \n\nRegular garbage\, green bin\, and recycling collection will occur on Monday\, May 18 with no interruptions.\nEnvironmental 360 Solutions reminds residents to have their garbage\, green bin\, and properly sorted blue box out to the curb by 7 am to ensure pickup.\nThe municipality’s landfill and transfer stations will be open regular hours on Saturday\, May 16.\n\nRecreation Centres \nThe Wellington and District Community Centre (WDCC) and the Prince Edward Community Centre will be closed on Monday\, May 18. \nThe walking track at the WDCC) will reopen on Tuesday\, May 19 at 8 am. \nReminder: As of Tuesday\, May 19 both community centres and the walking track at the WDCC will operate Monday – Friday\, 8 am – 4 pm. \n  \nThe County Museums \nAll five museums are set to reopen on Friday\, May 15 after the annual reset to bring in new exhibits and programming. \nSummer hours are as follows: \n\nAmeliasburgh Heritage Village (517 County Road 19\, Ameliasburgh)- Wednesday to Sunday\, 10 am – 4 pm\nMariners Park Museum (2065 County Road 13\, South Bay) – Friday to Sunday\, 10 am – 4 pm\nMacaulay Heritage Park (23 & 35 Church Street\, Picton) – Wednesday to Sunday 10 am – 4 pm\nRose House Museum (3333 County Road 8\, Waupoos) – Friday to Sunday\, 10 am – 4 pm\nWellington Heritage Museum (290 Main Street\, Wellington) – Wednesday to Sunday 10 am – 4 pm\n\nResidents and visitors are reminded that re-enactors with the “Gathering of Friends Rendezvous” will be firing muskets and a cannon at the Ameliasburgh Heritage Village from Friday\, May 15 to Sunday\, May 17. \nMembers of the public may hear noises associated with guns and cannon fire between 10 am and 4 pm each day during the event. Cannon fire will take place on Saturday\, May 16 at 12 pm\, 12:20 pm\, 12:40 pm and 1 pm. The re-enactors will not be firing live rounds of ammunition during the event. \nThis event is family-friendly and open to everyone. Entry is by donation. DESCRIPTION:All residents are invited to dispose of their household hazardous waste free of charge at upcoming mobile events in Wellington. \nThe mobile event\, hosted by GFL Environmental Services\, will be held at the Wellington and District Community Centre (111 Belleville Street) from 9 am – 2 pm. \nAdditional events will be held on the following dates: \n\n\n\nSaturday\, May 9\nSaturday\, June 13\nSaturday\, July 18\nSaturday\, September 12\n\n\n\n\nHousehold hazardous waste can be found in almost every room of your home. These products\, if thrown in the garbage or poured down the drain\, can have negative effects on the environment including an impact on groundwater and surface water such as creeks\, rivers\, and lakes.\n\n  \n\nClick here to see a full list of items that are accepted at mobile events. \n\n  \n\nElectronic waste will no longer be accepted at mobile collection events and can be brought to the following waste sites during regular hours of operation.\n\nSophiasburgh (35 County Road 14)\nSouth Marysburgh (1132 Old Milford Road)\n*NEW – Wellington (275 Consecon Street)\n\n\n\nHazardous waste is not accepted at waste sites. For a list of accepted electronic waste\, please click here. \n\n*NEW- automotive waste is now accepted at mobile collection events. This includes motor oil\, filters and coolants. Outside of collection events\, motor oil must be dropped off at the hazardous waste depot at 75 Wallbridge Crescent in Belleville. Click here to view the operating hours.\n\n  \n\nPlease note\, batteries brought to mobile collection events as well as the hazardous waste depot must have terminals taped. Improperly stored or discarded batteries can cause fire. To keep everyone safe\, cover the terminals with non-conductive tape such as clear packing tape\, duct tape or electrical tape. Do not cover the brand name or chemistry on the label.\n\n  \n\nScrap metal will not be accepted at mobile collection events. SUMMARY:Hazardous waste mobile collection event
DESCRIPTION:All residents are invited to dispose of their household hazardous waste free of charge at upcoming mobile events in Wellington. \nThe mobile event\, hosted by GFL Environmental Services\, will be held at the Wellington and District Community Centre (111 Belleville Street) from 9 am – 2 pm. \nAdditional events will be held on the following dates: \n\n\n\nSaturday\, May 9\nSaturday\, June 13\nSaturday\, July 18\nSaturday\, September 12\n\n\n\n\nHousehold hazardous waste can be found in almost every room of your home. These products\, if thrown in the garbage or poured down the drain\, can have negative effects on the environment including an impact on groundwater and surface water such as creeks\, rivers\, and lakes.\n\n  \n\nClick here to see a full list of items that are accepted at mobile events. \n\n  \n\nElectronic waste will no longer be accepted at mobile collection events and can be brought to the following waste sites during regular hours of operation.\n\nSophiasburgh (35 County Road 14)\nSouth Marysburgh (1132 Old Milford Road)\n*NEW – Wellington (275 Consecon Street)\n\n\n\nHazardous waste is not accepted at waste sites. For a list of accepted electronic waste\, please click here. \n\n*NEW- automotive waste is now accepted at mobile collection events. This includes motor oil\, filters and coolants. Outside of collection events\, motor oil must be dropped off at the hazardous waste depot at 75 Wallbridge Crescent in Belleville. Click here to view the operating hours.\n\n  \n\nPlease note\, batteries brought to mobile collection events as well as the hazardous waste depot must have terminals taped. Improperly stored or discarded batteries can cause fire. To keep everyone safe\, cover the terminals with non-conductive tape such as clear packing tape\, duct tape or electrical tape. Do not cover the brand name or chemistry on the label.\n\n  \n\nScrap metal will not be accepted at mobile collection events.
