Volunteer Firefighter Opportunities
Answer the Call! Making firefighting part of your life!
Being a volunteer firefighter in Prince Edward County isn’t something you do, it’s something you are. If you have a desire to contribute to keep your community safe you should consider being a volunteer firefighter. We are looking for people who are willing to protect our community from the adverse effects of fires, sudden medical emergencies and exposure to dangerous conditions created by both man and nature.
Students & Co-op Placement
We recognize and value the importance of integrating students into the workforce and support learning opportunities for students. Summer student positions are posted online at the beginning of each year. To be considered for employment, a student must be at least 16 years of age and must demonstrate active standing / registration as a full-time student during the previous academic year and subsequent academic year.
We welcome requests for high school and post-secondary co-op placement opportunities. We recognize that our co-op students are prospective future employees. Please express your interest to the Human Resources Department at email@example.com providing an outline of your school’s program, the duration of the proposed placement, and the appropriate paperwork required of the program.
