We are looking for people who are willing to protect our community from the adverse effects of fires, sudden medical emergencies and exposure to dangerous conditions created by both man and nature.
Students & Co-op Placement
Youth and Student Opportunities
We recognize and value the importance of integrating youth into the workforce by creating meaningful employment opportunities to develop skills and create a bridge into the labour market. Summer positions are posted online at the beginning of each year.
In some cases, applicants will need to be currently enrolled, or returning to, a recognized post-secondary educational institution (re. the Ontario Summer Experience Program). In other cases, while applicants need to fall within an age range they do not need to be currently enrolled in a post-secondary educational institution (re. the Canada Summer Jobs program).
Co-op Opportunities
We welcome requests for high school and post-secondary co-op placement opportunities. We recognize that our co-op students are prospective future employees. Please express your interest to the Human Resources Department at careers@pecounty.on.ca providing an outline of your school’s program, the duration of the proposed placement, and the appropriate paperwork required of the program.
